Home vs Legal Paternity Test
Same science. Different rules. The choice comes down to who needs to see the result.
Quick answer
If the result is only for you personally, order the $99 home test — same 99.99% science, delivered privately by mail. If a court, government agency, or third party will see the result (child support, custody, birth certificate, immigration, Social Security), you need the $249 legal test with chain of custody. Home test results are never court-admissible.
