What accreditation actually means
AABB (formerly the American Association of Blood Banks) is the U.S. standard-setting body for relationship testing. AABB accreditation requires periodic on-site inspection, documented chain-of-custody procedures, technical staff qualifications, quality control, and proficiency testing. Non-accredited labs are not permitted to produce results admissible in U.S. courts. ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for testing lab competence. CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) is the U.S. federal regulatory framework for clinical labs. CAP (College of American Pathologists) proficiency testing is a peer-review process where labs regularly analyze unknown samples and their results are compared to consensus.

BuyPaternityTest.com is a U.S. direct-to-consumer relationship-testing brand launched in 2026. We do not operate our own laboratory; we contract with an AABB-accredited partner lab to process every sample. The partner lab's name, physical address, and AABB registry entry will be published here as soon as its co-branding permissions are in place. This is standard industry practice — even the largest paternity-testing brands operate this way — and it allows us to focus on customer experience, privacy, and pricing while the lab focuses on the science.
