How accurate is an at-home paternity test?

Our test delivers 99.99%+ probability of paternity when the alleged father is the biological father, and a definitive 0% (exclusion) when he is not. We analyze 34 genetic markers and run every sample twice in an AABB-accredited lab.

Are home test results court-admissible?

No. Any court proceeding — child support, custody, birth certificate corrections — requires a legal test with chain-of-custody collection. The science is identical; the difference is who witnessed the sample being taken. See our Legal Paternity Test.

Can I test without the mother?

Yes. A test using only the alleged father and child is still 99.99%+ accurate. Including the mother is free and slightly strengthens statistical certainty in unusual cases, but it is not required.

How long do results take?

1–2 business days from the moment the lab receives your samples. Kits typically arrive at your address in 1–3 days, so most customers have results within a week of ordering.

Is my information private?

Yes. Kits ship in plain unmarked packaging. Results are delivered as an encrypted PDF only to the email on file. We never sell or share data, and samples are destroyed 90 days after testing on request.

What's your refund policy?

Full refund within 30 days if the kit is unused. Once the lab has begun processing samples, testing costs are not refundable — but we will always re-test at no charge if there is any question about a result.
